Services / Brand Establishment and Development

Establish your brand.
Develop its contribution.

Define who you are, how you will build the relationships your mission needs, and what your team will do to make that happen.

Identity, strategy and action planning inform language, design and audience experiences.

A foundation for launch, change or growth.

A new organization needs an identity and a direction. An established one may need to reflect a changed offer, reach a different audience or resolve a gap between what it intends and how it is understood.

The work we can develop together

01

Understand the organization and its audiences

We examine your mission, objectives, offer and operating context, alongside the people you need to reach and the alternatives they consider. We look at how they currently understand your organization and what affects their decisions to buy, participate or support you.

This gives the work a starting point: the gains you need, the barriers to achieving them and the opportunities your brand can help you pursue.

02

Develop the identity

We work with you to define who you are as a brand: your purpose, values, personality, promise and the value you offer. Positioning establishes why you matter to the people you serve and how you differ from their alternatives.

We express that identity through language and design, including messaging, tone of voice and a visual identity system. Your team has a shared understanding of the brand and the tools to represent it consistently.

03

Develop the brand strategy

We determine how to build the understanding and relationships your objectives require. Which audiences need attention? What should they understand and believe about your organization? What experiences and evidence would give them a reason to choose you, support you or stay involved?

The strategy sets priorities for communications, channels and audience experiences. It connects the identity you intend to the image people form of you, with a focus on the responses that can contribute to revenue, funding, service uptake and lasting support.

04

Turn the strategy into an action plan

We translate the strategy into initiatives, responsibilities, timing and resource needs. The plan identifies what to do first, what depends on other work and how progress will be assessed.

Your team can see how its day-to-day work contributes to the objectives, whether that means introducing a new offer, improving a service journey, launching a campaign or strengthening relationships with supporters.

05

Put the brand to work

We can develop the websites, communications and other applications needed to carry out the plan, alongside practical guidance and assets for your team. The work helps people recognize your organization, understand its value and take the actions your mission depends on.

We also establish what to learn from audience responses: whether people understand the offer, make inquiries, use services, buy, contribute or return. That learning informs what to improve as the brand develops.

From a shared identity to useful applications.

Brand identity establishes your intended meaning. Brand strategy sets out how to influence the image people form and the relationships your objectives require. The action plan makes that strategy executable.

Language, design, websites and communications give people ways to encounter the brand. Each needs to serve its particular audience and purpose.
